Every now and again there is an artist who I just want to be in the countdown. Aurelio Voltaire is my guy, and I'm glad he made it in at #9. A legitimate #9 too. The greatest sing-a-long of 2014. Lol. There are always Voltaire songs in my life because I love the guy. And Raised By Bats was a tremendous album. Atta boy!

#10 - Cut Copy - We Are Explorers



Gosh, what a great song. It's hard not to like it. The beat bounces, the synths swing along, and the lyrics are fun. I was just listening to this song the other day and wondering why I hadn't listened to it much this year. I guess a good electronic song needs some time to cool before being injected back into the veins. Also, this video. So brilliant.

#11 - Meg Myers - Desire



I honestly thought Meg and her sex machine would be higher up on my list by years end, but she is one of those things that you have to take breaks from. She has another song reverberating through the radio landscapes right now titled "Sorry"; it's a good song and her stuff is all pretty solid.  Just a few quick reminders: Meg is gonna kill you, tear into your soul, feel you in her bones and skin you with her tongue.  Youch.

It's so hot.
