The 2016 Jester One Music Top 20 Countdown - #6

#6 - Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown - Loaded Dice and Buried Money

One of the reasons that I love internet radio stations is the fact that you're essentially able to listen to just about anything that is out there. There are stations that feature just about any variety of music, as opposed to the usual classic rock, country, pop and urban stations that you'll get in most cities. Especially in Ohio, we're stuck with what the big corporations like Clear Channel want us to hear. It's not always bad but it leaves some variety to be desired.  One of the best places to find music on the internet is through TuneIn and the TuneIn app. I've found many a good station, be they rock, classical, jazz, indie, etc. The possibilities seem limitless, and from those possibilities I found the #6 song on our countdown. Tyler Bryant may only be 25 but he's been across the country and around the world as a solo artists and is a brilliant up-and-coming bluesy rock guitarist. He and his band put out a solid EP late last year and are looking to record a full-length album soon.

"Loaded Dice and Buried Money" kicks off with a brilliant hook which punches it's way through the entire track. It crunches while it soars, and Bryant's pained voice tells the story of a volatile woman who will surely be the death of you, if not for the worth of it. It's a great cautionary tale that straight up rocks. It definitely kept my toe tapping and my head bobbing throughout the 2016 season. Here's to more of that good old sound they provide. This is also the 1st song on that countdown that I might have penciled in at #1 at some point in the year. Bang, bang, bang. Let's go! Enjoy!
