For the month of May we had 2055 scrobbles, down 3% from the previous month. That's 66 scrobbles per day, equaling out to 5 days and 19 hours worth of music. 821 artists averaged 2.503 scrobbles per. Rock, Alternative Rock, and Classic Rock were the top 3 genres, not that you would know it by the top plays. 10p-11p was the most active time slot, followed by 11a-12p and 12p-1p. Lots of closing shifts driving to work = lots of time in those last two slots.

8. The Awakening - The Sound of Silence
A lot of S+G's catalog is happier tunes, but they have some surprisingly dark songs that you might miss if you didn't know you were looking for it. This song in particular has been covered by many darker and heavier artists, and in my opinion this is the best of all of them.
7. Rammstein - Radio
I told y'all they'd be doing their thing now that the new record has dropped.
6. Blutengel - You Walk Away
I was making a playlist for my wife, and Blutengel is one of her favorite artists. I rarely find music from them that I like, but this song has been rocking back and forth through my head all month.
5. VHS Collection - Sign
Not to be forgotten, VHSC snuck back into the top after starting the year up there.

8. Curse of Cassandra
I'm excited to be seeing Curse twice in June. I assume they'll be higher up for next month.
7. Simon & Garfunkel
Because I was hooked on a cover of The Sound Of Silence, I decided to revisit some of S+G's greatest hits.
6. The National
The new album from The National is very interesting. I can't promise there'll be a jam on the year-end list, but it's not a band I'd ever count out.
5. Celldweller
For the insane amount of Circle of Dust and Argyle Park that I've listened to in my life, I have ignored most of what Celldweller did. I attempted to remedy that in May.
4. Rammstein
There's your new R+ record. This one is a keeper.

I reckon these guys would be higher on the list if it wasn't just a six song EP that they released.
