#4 - Graceful Closure - Choices
Graceful Closure is another fantastic band out of Columbus that is starting to make waves around the States. I live in an exciting state for bubbling musical bands, especially with the explosion of twenty one pilots and the rising popularity of Beartooth. I can only hope that Graceful Closure is a band that can reach such heights because they bring such a wonderful message and are such cool guys. Singer/guitarist Jared Condon is always preaching about hope, strength, and not giving up. It's a beautiful message. The trio put out their first EP last year and it included the hit "Chasing Fears" as well. They just released a new single "Unknown Land" and are working on new material for 2017.
The song "Choices" burst onto the RadioU scene early in 2016 and immediately caught my attention. It's powerful, positive and a potent combination of strong keyboards and driving drums. It's a fun song with a great message; not being held down despite your beliefs. The video features the guys rocking out in an old abandoned house. Personally, I am super excited to hear what comes next for these fellas. Regardless of what it might sound like, you know it's going to be positive and uplifting. Hurray local scene!
