Top 20 - The Early Stages

It all starts with a notepad file. I spend hours every week digging through release dates trying to find albums I might want to check out. I dig through YouTube and other formats to find songs I haven't heard. I browse torrent sites. Pandora. Amazon Music. Spotify. Slacker. You name it. I need the music.

Slowly but surely, songs start to populate that notepad file. Release dates are checked. Albums are jammed. My attention span is stretched as I try to find ways to insert music into other parts of my lifestyle. There are only 24 hours in a day, after all.

I do it because I love it. I love to remember where I was when I heard that "one song". I talk about it often because it stirs my soul. I'd rather know than not know, especially when it comes to music. With that in mind, I've hastened together an early, unofficial and highly subject-to-change Top 10 So Far List! Hahahahaha... No bios, nothing fancy, just names.

Purity Ring - Heartsigh
Slipknot - Skeptic
Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness - Cecilia and the Satellite
TV on the Radio - Careful You
Walk the Moon - Shut Up And Dance
Papa Roach - Falling Apart
Matt and Kim - Get It
Big Data - The Business of Emotion (feat White Sea)
Foo Fighters - Something from Nothing
New Found Glory - Selfless

A very interesting mix so far. I'm about a month behind on new albums, so I have a lot of work to do now that I've finished moving. Here's to the music!
